Ugrasen Ki Baoli Stepwell in New Delhi

Ugrasen ki Baoli is one of the well-protected stepwells with hundreds years of history in New Delhi, capital of India. Stepwells are wells or ponds in which the water may be reached by descending a set of steps. They are most common in western and north India. Some of the stepwells are covered and protected and are often of architectural significance. The construction may be utilitarian, but sometimes includes significant architectural embellishments.
